In an endeavor to promote public health, the Cardiology Society of India (CSI) and Vigocare organized a public awareness event at the Botanical Garden in Kondapur, Hyderabad on June 14th, 2023. The event aimed to bring to light the importance of early detection and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders, while also raising awareness about the life-saving potential of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
Esteemed guest, Sri Arekapudi Gandhi Garu, MLA from Serilingampally, Hyderabad, inaugurated the proceedings, reinforcing the importance of cardiac health awareness. His presence underscored the crucial role that community leaders play in endorsing health initiatives.
Dr. Ramachandra, Senior Consultant Cardiologist and President of CSI Telangana, furthered the discussion by shedding light on the intricacies of arrhythmias and the impact of early diagnosis. His passionate discourse underlined the urgency of understanding these disorders for the betterment of public health.
One of the event’s highlights was the donation of four AEDs by CSI Telangana, emphasizing the significance of having these devices in public spaces. Hands-on training sessions on their usage could equip attendees to act promptly in cardiac emergencies, making the event not only informative but potentially life-saving.
